The following are frequently asked questions that we wanted to take the time to answer for you because they are good questions that, when answered, may prove to alleviate most, if not all, of your anxieties and inhibitions about having a crusade such as this in your area. Sure, crusades like these do require more work on the churches part, more planning, and yes, even more money at times...but we believe that once we address some of these challenges, you'll see that it's not only the "mega-churches" and the "mega-ministries" that can benefit from such an awesome ministry. We wouldn't want your unanswered questions to keep you from utilizing such a powerful ministry tool, nor would we want either of us to miss out on the unique opportunity we have to reach lives for Christ. So please, take the time to read further. Any additional questions you might have may be addressed to us via email, mail, or by phone. Can I afford a crusade?

Our answer is a resounding YES! The obvious, and most spiritually-minded answer is, of course, though these crusades do cost money to operate, the eternal value of the harvest of souls that will be won into the kingdom cannot be measured (entirely) by the weight of funds within the church’s coffers. But aside from that, Power Unlimited operates on the good will of God’s people, giving and sowing into this good ground yielding souls into the kingdom. We truly believe that God will honor us as we honor you and your church by being good stewards of your funds too. We will do whatever we possibly can to help your church curb costs. There are many ways in which churches can radically reduce their costs for a crusade, one of which is by simply asking area companies and businesses to donate materials. Other ways to cut costs will be discussed in subsequent answers.

My church congregation is small. Will you come to a small church?

Another resounding YES! No church is too large or too small to accommodate this ministry. Power Unlimited goes wherever the Holy Spirit leads. Any and all pastors who have a burning desire to win the lost to the Lord are welcomed to contact our office to discuss a possible crusade. One thing that is for sure, when starting this ministry every member of the team felt strongly that this type of ministry is a powerful tool for churches, schools, and communities in general, and that NO church should be denied the many benefits simply because of their size or financial standing. Our desire and vision is that we will continue to gain partners that will help alleviate some of the financial burden so that we CAN continue to go absolutely wherever the Lord would call us to go. HE is our provider and we believe that as we do not discriminate, the Lord will more than take care of the need...your's and our's.

What is a "Tailor-made crusade?"

It's simply a crusade that is designed with you in mind. Power Unlimited offers a variety of crusade options, anything from a 5 day crusades where the team speaks in local school assemblies every day, to just a one-day meeting. They can incorporate a women's meetings on the Saturday of the crusade, or even a Saturday or evening Fitness seminar for the church body. The team is comprised of licensed, credentialed evangelistic preachers and teachers who will follow the leading of the Holy Spirit whether they are preaching a Sunday morning worship service or busting through blocks with their heads! Power Unlimited understands that no church is exactly the same. And because every church is different and the needs of every church are varied, we offer a "tailor made crusade." For example, one church may respond well to a several day long crusade, such as a Wednesday thru Sunday. Whereas, another church may not respond at all to weekday meetings and would rather just do a weekend crusade only, such as a Friday thru Sunday with only a couple of school assemblies on a Friday and a women's meeting on Saturday. You may just be looking to do a normal worship service on Sunday morning, then do a Power Show that evening...you get the point. No church is the same, and no crusade has to be either. We ask, "What works best for you?" Afterall, our team is there to serve YOU.

Will the team minister to my people around the altars?

Absolutely! Our ministry motto is "Real. Strong. Ministry. More heart, less hype!" Each team member has an individual and specific call on their lives to serve. You'll find that our guys are strong, but more than that, they are real, genuine ministry-minded servants of the Lord who have a heart for all people. If you would prefer the team not minister around the altars, then of course, that is your perogative, and you will just have to make that known to the team.

What is your budget excluding material?

That completely depends on the length of the crusade and how many services we are doing. Power Unlimited does have a salary allocation for it’s team members; however, we will not allow finances, or lack thereof, to get in the way of ministry. We have found that money follows ministry, and not the other way around. Upon contact, we will discuss your desires for the crusade, we will apprise you of our needed budget (excluding materials, lodging, food, etc.) and then all we ask is that you and your church believe with us that God will meet that need. This ministry operates by faith (and, of course, wisdom) and all things are possible to those who believe. We fully understand that pastors and churches do not like "surprises" so all that pertains to the financial success of the crusade will be presented, discussed, and drafted in full upon contact between both parties.

Who is responsible to pay for the crusade materials?

The church is responsible to pay for the crusade materials. As stated earlier, churches can, with advanced notice, obtain donated materials from local businesses with a promise to make their names known to those attending the crusades to generate support for their businesses.

Where do I obtain the materials for the crusade?

Most of the materials used during the course of the crusade can be obtained from Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowe’s or your local hardware store. Power Unlimited will furnish a detailed materials list to the church well in advance of our scheduled crusade.

Where do I house and feed the team?

We are flexible and easy to please. Most of the time, team members of Power Unlimited are lodged in hotels where the church already has an arrangement for discount rated rooms.

Whenever possible, team members can "double-up" in rooms to help curb the hotel costs even further. We are not opposed to being "split-up" and housed in an spare bedroom of congregation members...we have done it before, and it proves to be an effective way to cut costs for the church. The only challenge in that type of senario is coordinating transportation so that the team travels together to each event... but its a challenge that can easily be overcome with a little extra planning. In whatever housing situation, because of our pursuit of healthy living, members often eat together a healthy protein rich (meat, fish, turkey, etc.), carbohydrate dense (brown rice, sweet yams and potato) and fiber rich vegetables foods. In short, they're meat and potato kinda' guys! Water, iced tea, juices, and Gatorades are desired liquids during meals. We can dine in restaurants or another cost effective way is to have congregation members prepare meals that can be brought to the church for dinner before or after service.

Are the crusades solely a youth event?

Absolutely not. Though they have proven to be a great tool for evangelizing today's youth, the crusades are and should be promoted as a family event. God is in the business of saving whole families and people of all ages. Some churches in the past have made the mistake of advertising these crusades as a youth event and robbed the other age groups of the opportunity to be exposed to the gospel. Also, keep in mind that this is a tremendous tool to evangelize everyone in your community, so be sure to find creative ways to get the word out to the entire community not just to your church body. We'll give you some good tips on just how to do that in the next answer paragraph below.

What can I do in the natural to draw in the people?

It's amazing the natural drawing power these crusades have already, you'll just have to get the word out by whatever means possible-newspaper, radio...use every resource. So to help you do that, after we schedule your crusade, we will furnish you with posters and advertising materials to make it easier for you. Post them around town...and don't forget to post them in the local gym's!! These posters and flyers will also be given out to the students who attend the school assemblies throughout the week. We'll encourage the students to take the flyers home to invite their parents and friends. But don't forget this simple truth, when pastors are excited (about the crusade) their people will be excited. Pastors and leaders should do all they can to cast the vision to their congregation of souls saved, church growth, and families being brought to the Lord. When the congregation is excited and supportive, the harvest is often great. We have also found that doing a prize give-away at the commencement of the evening crusade(s) works really well to draw students out (especially when the gifts are an X-Box, shopping sprees, salon certificates and Nintendo games!) These gift give-aways can be indicated in the ads and during the school assemblies, the team makes it a point to emphasize the free give-away.

Does the team workout while on the road?

Yes. The nature of this type of ministry requires that we stay in top physical condition.
Churches can often obtain guest passes from a local bodybuilding gym like Gold’s, Powerhouse Gym, or the like. We ask that transportation be provided to this and all events. Most of the time, a church member, who is welcomed to stay and fellowship with the team wherever they go, is designated to transport the team in the church van.

Will you need help for stage set up during the crusade?

Yes, the team will need what we call a stage crew comprised of between 10-14 adults depending on the set up and clean up. The stage crew is a very essential part of the crusade because they help to facilitate the smooth operation of the events during the crusade. The church should post a volunteer sign up sheet weeks prior to the crusade.

Will you need help for set up at the school assemblies?

Yes, the team will need a school assembly crew for set up and clean up. Normally this is a smaller crew of about 4-6 adults since the school assemblies are done on a much smaller scale than the evening events at the church. The church should post a volunteer sign up sheet weeks prior to the crusade.
